Landscape Designer
Position Overview
We are looking for a qualified Landscape Designer to assist in the design process regarding hardscape and softscape outdoor living projects. The ideal candidate will have exceptional knowledge of landscape materials, stonework, and horticulture as well as having experience with SketchUp and Dynascape CAD based software.
Qualifications & Skills
• Assist in the design process of outdoor living projects
• Make jobsite visits, take measurements and site photos
• Draw projects with Dynascape CAD based software
• Create 3D profiles and renderings use SketchUp
• Label and specify plantings (landscaping knowledge required)
• Create job take-offs, material lists and pricing
• Produce landscape drawings, scale and scope including grades/elevations
• Knowledge of landscaping materials, horticulture, water-features, and lighting
• Knowledge in softscaping including: grading, laying sod, preparing garden beds, planting, landscape stone, etc.
• Knowledge in hardscaping including paving stone/flagstone steps, retaining walls, stone coping, etc.
• Ability to complete assigned work on time with a high attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
• Capable of understanding and carrying out verbal and written instructions
• Comply with all company policies and regulations
• Able to take direction well, maintain good rapport with clients and coworkers
• Good communication and time management skills
• Good work ethic and must be punctual
Education & Skills
• Landscape Design diploma
• High school diploma/GED
• Valid 'G' Class driver’s license with a clean driving record
Job Type
• Full-time (50-60 hours per week)
